Old Mckendree United Methodist Church is the oldest Protestant church still standing west of the Mississippi River, this chapel was also the first Methodist church and is a National Methodist Shrine. New Mckendree United Methodist was erected in the early 1900's and has been conducting services for over 100 years. New Mckendree recently built a second site (South Campus) ministry for contemporary worship.
"It is the deepest desire of my heart to express worship corporately with other believers that long for that personal touch of Christ through music. I am not a performer, I am a worshipper who desires others not to look at me as a performer but to come alongside me and worship the one who deserves all of our attention. I believe that our worship, through musical expression, is unique and personal. God wants an inward motivated worship that does not call attention to self. That is what I desire and I hope that is what everyone will experience through the music God has given me."
